--------------------------------------------
I CANNOT believe it's already July!!! I've been fully immersed in summer architecture academy for an entire month now. There have only been two days I've managed to make it home before dark (and I go in at 9am). It's been a lot of work; I haven't learned as much as I'd hoped (a lot of it overlaps with design, after all) and don't quite relate to some of their styles of working, but I have learned a lot as it is and my drawing techniques are getting some major practice! It's nice to draw again after so long.
In any case, that's where I've been (plus trying to make a website for my design work, complete a booklet for a teacher, do preliminary work for my senior design project, etc) and will be for one more week! I have a ton of photos I could put up, but I'm not sure where to start. Most of it is photojournalism, although I do have some nice architectural photos from school trips. I'm also driving to Florida in a few weeks with my boyfriend, and I'm demanding a stop by the Louisiana coast. I'm eager to try and understand the catastrophe that is the oil spill, first hand... through my camera lens, of course. There are bound to be nice photos coming from the Everglades, too.
Let me know what you all are up to this summer! Don't forget to keep updated on my photo work by visiting my blog:
