If you have EVER made any artistic image and had it online for any amount of time, THIS AFFECTS YOU! This is appalling to any independent artist, and the devastatingly FAILED end to our endless search for exposure and hopeful careers.
The proposed Orphan Works legislation is a NIGHTMARE for the creators, and a gold mine for users who take and abuse that work, without credit or compensation, for THEIR PROFIT. D:

This needs to be re-written. I am aware that organizations like libraries and museums have faced plenty of trouble with people who come out of the darkness and suddenly claim copyright... it IS a horrible problem in a country full of suing one another over a spilled coffee. However, the current text for Orphan Works is NOT the answer and sacrifices the independent citizen in order to fiscally benefit businesses and corporations. That's justice for you!
